I had read reviews on this safe and found them to be favorable. I bought this a few weeks ago and set it up last week. It's definitely a good (if not excellent) product for the price.

Pros for me: Great value. Very good construction. Some customers had reported battery pack got loose and shorted out and therefore reset the code. After looking at the design, I think it would be hard for this to happen - the unit I have has the battery pack velcro'd in very well ( Velcro is used to make it easy to remove and install back - I think this this is fine).
The size of the safe is very good and it's not heavy and is well suited for a gun safe or other items you might want to keep. I think it's big enough to install a small 'eva' dehumidifier which is about $14 - highly recommended for any safe (not just this one). It comes with bolts to secure this - seems easy to do although I have yet to do this. This safe is very portable should you want to use it. To re-iterate other reviews, this safe is to keep your gun out and away from people who SHOULD not be touching them (kids and adults). It is not designed to keep out determined thieves - for that, you WILL need a safe - safe. Depending upon what you really want, the cost for those kind is easily going to be in the several hundred dollars and above. I did not have any issue with the lock not working. I opened and closed it 25 times to see if there was any problem - no issues found.

Cons (not so much cons as just things to note)
When battery dies, code will go back to factory setting which means you have to remember that at all times. I wish it would have just remembered the code you program in.
To change code, the switch mentioned in the in the instructions is exactly where they say it is except when you reach inside for it, it is not obvious you are pressing the switch except for the fact that the light on front starts to flash indicating you have pressed it - so that's OK. You don't really need to remove battery pack to do this (I didn't have to) - maybe you do if battery pack is not installed clear of the switch.

Overall - I would definitely buy again.

Very nice. Works great. Lots of room for for 2 or 3 pistols or whatever else you want to put in it. Not much more to say. I'm satisfied with the product and seller.

This is an excellent way to secure your sidearms when not carrying or sleeping at night. Can be secured to the wall or floor with some effort. Instructions are a little vague about where the set button is inside the safe. To set the code, You have to feel around inside the safe, on the backside, middle area, of the keypad and you will find the button . Perfect size for two to three handguns and/or a couple boxes of ammo. A smaller size is also available that will hold 1 handgun and a box of ammo. The only negative is that this safe is not fireproof, but perfect for temporary storage! This is a well built safe for the money
