When your by yourself this tool pays for itself. It doesn't matter if you installing joist hangers around the boards or screwing through a 2 x this device comes in handy.

Very Helpful in Framing Work

This tool helps you easily line up flush any 2x stock. I used it a lot. It's like an extra hand, that is always steady and right on the mark. It helped me put a 20 foot face joist on by myself. The only suggestion that I would have would be to make a slightly smaller version so that one could attach both sides of sub-floor blocking, i.e. less than 16", at once.
