I bought this bed for my dog about a year ago and just wanted to say it was worth every penny! Not only do I love it, but my dog does too! Its very easy to clean (just spray off with a hose) and it sits atop the ground so I don't have flea problems. The cover itself does get a lot of use so I replace it about once a year but it is very suitable and sturdy. I just wanted to say this bed is an ingenious idea and I fully recommend it to people with pets.

Great Product! I use them in my kennel and love them. The dogs love them too. After I learned how to put them on by not tightening up each side, then I had no problem putting them on. I just love these because they are off the ground, easy to clean, and because the dogs absolutely love them.

I made my own outdoor bed much like the Coolaroo. I made the covers for the beds from lawn furniture fabric which matched our furniture at the time. The frames are easily and inexpensively made using simple PVC tubing readily available at any Lowes or Home Depot along with the corner/leg pieces which are used to make undergound sprinkler systems and other things. Just cut the PVC to the needed lengths with a hacksaw and decide the height you want and cut the leg pieces. Takes all of ten minutes to make a frame once you have your measurements.

That said, our covers were finally wearing out and I opted to go with the Coolaroo covers. Well made and durable fabric with good stitching. Should last for several years. I'll be making a couple more of these in the spring as the dogs spend more time outdoors. Excellent product!
